Thank you, Mr. Bobby Rush for standing up to the powers that be. People in this world need to stand up for what they believe in. Taking a stand for whats right, keeps you from falling for whats wrong. We Americans are losing the fight. People need to wake -up, look at how our government and police control us.When do we as citizens really matter? You can side either way. Where do you stand?
Illinois Rep. Bobby Rush, a Democratic Congressman, was ordered to leave the House chamber on Wednesday because he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt in honor of Trayvon Martin.
Rush began a speech wearing a suit jacket, removing it to reveal a hoodie underneath. "Racial profiling has to stop," Rush said. "Just because someone wears a hoodie, [it] does not make them a hoodlum."
It's against House rules to wear headgear in the chamber.
