PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — More and more people are using GoPro cameras to capture action video.

But a local company has come up with a cheaper alternative, using equipment you probably have: asmartphone.

Dave Rost says he was skiing out West and didn’t want to spend a couple hundred bucks on a GoPro, “So I held my iPhone 4 and filmed, which wasn’t exactly that useful because my hands got awfully cold.”

So he says an idea was born.
